The breakfast served here has a bit more going for it than many free hotel breakfasts, with a wide choice of hot and cold items, including fresh fruit, and the breakfast area is spacious, so you shouldn't encounter huge crowds in the morning. All in all, makes for a pretty good start to the day.

This hotel has a very convenient location, whether you're breaking up a long road-trip, visiting the university and city, or catching a flight. It's just off the interstate, and both the airport and downtown Lincoln can be reached within a 10-minute drive. There are also several restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance.

Though the rooms are kept clean, many of the furnishings and carpets are old, and the smell of stale cigarette smoke seems to cling to everything. It's definitely an off-putting smell, particularly if you've deliberately booked a non-smoking room.

Though it's just off the interstate, the lack of signage and its slightly hidden position behind other buildings can make it tricky to find. According to other guests, some sat navs and smartphone maps can throw you off course, so be wary of relying on them to get there.

Numerous guests have complained about the pool being chilly and sometimes over-chlorinated, so it may look more inviting than it actually is when you find your teeth chattering and eyes stinging. It's also been known to close for maintenance at peak times.
