Hotel Oaks Brisbane Festival Suites (Brisbane, Australia)

A number of previous guests to the hotel enjoyed the pool in the summer heat with comments across reviews recommending a swim in the pool and a dip in the spa if you stay at the hotel.

The hotel was a new build completed in 2006 and as such has all the modern amenities of contemporary apartment complexes. The higher floors have stunning views across the city and guests who stayed in these apartments raved about the vistas.

The hotel is located less than a 5 minute walk to the Queen Street Mall, Brisbane's main pedestrian shopping area and it is also close to the Brisbane River and botanical gardens. Many guests mentioned the location as being the highlight of their stay.

There is no daily housekeeping at the hotel and whilst this can be arranged for an additional fee, a number of guests were caught off guard that on their holiday they needed to clean up after themselves and their comments focused on the fact they they were expecting a housekeeping service during their stay.

A number of guests were disappointed that the free Wi-Fi was only free for the first 30 minutes of their stay and then guests had to pay an additional subscription fee to remain online.

Some guests were a little frustrated that on arrival at the hotel that parking was an additional expense that they had not planned for.  The hotel is in the central business district and the prices are commensurate with city prices.
