Guests generally find the hotel very conveniently located for work or play, noting that many attractions are within walking distance (South Bank, Botanic Gardens, Queen Street Mall, Eagle Street Pier) and many more are easily accessible via public transport. Citycat Ferry is close by, too.

Guests rave about the comfortable beds, spa-like showers, and "fun" decor, and also describe the spaces as very clean. Rooms on the higher floors of the 26-storey building offer stunning views of the river and city skyline. Many are favourably impressed by the hotel's value for money ratio, and often comment that the continental breakfast is well presented and sufficient for a freebie.

Guests often compliment the staff at this newly opened (in March 2016) hotel on their friendly attitude, and efficient, professional service, even during the "busiest" times.

Light sleepers on the lower floors note that the neighbouring pub hosts live bands several nights a week, and the soundproofing could be better. Others have been troubled by street noise (a side-effect of the hotel's central location) or have been woken up too early by church bells.

Drivers have reported that there is no short-term private parking out front for use during check-in, and that the closest underground parking (under the Myer Centre) is public, so spaces for hotel guests are not guaranteed. It's not cheap, either.

Many guests find the rooms to be a bit "small," though not inappropriately so for their price range. Some find the furnishings too "basic" as well, and wish for greater storage space.
