The proximity to the metro and railway station makes the Silken Berlaymont a hit with guests staying for business or relaxation. Guests commented on the wide array of bars and restaurants close by and how quick and easy it was to get to the city centre. The proximity to the EU Commission was also considered an advantage.
Diners were very impressed with the wide array of food served at the breakfast buffet and also complementary about the helpful attitude of waiting staff.
A very refreshing and relaxing night’s sleep will await you here, with many guests commenting on how comfortable the beds are. The hotel also received many favourable comments on the high standards of housekeeping and high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
The Wi-Fi signal was reported to be very slow particularly in the bedrooms which was an issue for guests staying on business. This proved to be a disappointment when compared with the better connection available in similar priced hotels in the same location.
Many guests commented they felt it was unfair to pay a surcharge for access to the spa in particular as it does not have a swimming pool and is in need of updating. It was claimed to be lacking in facilities that would be expected in a modern gym and a disappointment.
Although the Silken Berlaymont does offer parking in a safe garage to save guests the hassle of parking in the city, this is also considered to be expensive and the parking facilities have been referred to as small, difficult to access and not suitable for larger cars.
