Hotel Malisa Villa Suite (Kata Beach, Thailand)

While guests did tend to spend a lot of time in their villa, a few also appreciated that if they wanted to zip down to the beach, it would take no time at all. The walk was described as taking about two to three minutes.

While it was described as a relatively simple meal, that didn't stop guests really appreciating the breakfast served in their villa every morning. They also appreciated that the time was set according to their own schedule, and not within some arbitrary and narrow time window dictated by others.

Again and again guests mentioned how wonderful the staff at Malisa Villas were. They were said to be very helpful and polite. While their English wasn't perfect, they made strenuous efforts to make sure that a guest's query or issue was fully understood.

While not mentioned by many, it was reported that the villas seem to make use of the trendy frosted glass walls between the bathroom and sleeping area. For guests this poses two problems. Firstly, if one person goes to the bathroom at night while the other is sleeping, and puts on only the bathroom light, the sleeping area is also bathed in light. Secondly, some simply don't like the lack of privacy the walls creates.

This was a very common complaint. Perhaps because of the pools, guests said their villas seemed especially prone to problems with mosquitoes.

Like many other hotels, it doesn't seem that Malisa Villas has quite got their Wi-Fi system working properly. Guests mentioned that it was both unreliable and slow.
