Macronissos Village Club is a collection of self-catering bungalows amid lush green gardens and palm trees, set back from the lively centre of Agia Napa. Units are split between studios and one-bedroom apartments, with superior versions offering modern upgraded furnishings. All are bright and spacious with separate living and dining areas, and kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, microwaves and stoves. Guests can cool off in an immense lagoon-style pool or relax in the sauna. Macronissos Village Club also hosts a tennis court, gym, and mini-market. There is plenty of on-site entertainment too, as well as a kid’s club and free Wi-Fi. The Athena restaurant offers rich Cypriot buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner, whilst guests can enjoy al fresco dining at the Poseidon restaurant or top-quality fare at the romantic Garden of Eden. Macronissos Beach can be reached in ten minutes on foot, whilst the more animated Nissi Beach is two kilometres away. The WaterWorld theme park is just 750 metres away.
There is a wide variety of food on offer at the hotel. The diverse menus greatly helped in catering for different palates. Guests found the dishes to be expertly prepared. Service was also top notch and one did not have to wait for long to be seated and served.
The staff members are very polite and interact very sociably with guests. The concierge personnel have superior knowledge of the surrounding area and are quick to recommend popular sites, restaurants and other attractions that they think might be of interest to you.
With its close proximity to Macronissos Beach, a few eateries and a variety of outdoor activities, the hotel is an ideal location for holiday makers. Delicious, well prepared food is served at the lovely onsite restaurants. The breakfast buffet is varied and abundant.
A number of guests were surprised to find that even when hot water was available; their showers still produced cold water. Some guests were put off by the very little hot water that was available.
A few guests have complained that the traffic was noisy, especially in rooms close to the road, even thought the rooms were apparently soundproofed. A few windows could not shut completely and this let more noise in. Noise coming in from the corridors and other rooms was also an issue.
A few guests felt that the hotel's wireless internet connection was quite weak. The slow speeds are only suitable for light to moderate internet web usage and the signal was prone to drop as you move from room to room.
