Adequate space, mostly clean with functioning amenities. Some rooms are quite a bit larger than others, so you may want to ask about square footage at booking if extra space is important to you.

Quiet for the most part, this is a good solid two star locale. Lobby has been nicely renovated. Close to Interstate 8 and convenient base for exploring the campus area and attractions of La Mesa and San Diego.

You probably won't find cheaper rates, at least not with breakfast included.

It's almost unanimous - the customer service here is deplorable. On the positive side - they provide a safe place to stay. The downside - is as follows.. Firstly, there is a VERY strict "No Guest" policy on the rooms here - and they aren't polite about any perceived infractions, either. This means if you show up with your mom in tow to help you choose your outfit or an extra infant in a car seat - you will be required to book an additional room or be kicked out. Yes, grown adults with no ulterior motives get kicked out of this place on the regular. So take note - no extra peeps are sliding in. That is a fact! Secondly, phone calls are often answered rudely and questions seem to annoy the staff. Not really into the whole communication thing it appears. However, some felt they were okay - just doing their jobs without a smile. See for yourself.

No matter your preference, rooms are entered and cleaned daily. No explanation offered.

Some rooms need a good scrub of all areas and the amenities need an upgrade ASAP. Most non-smoking rooms smell like smoke.
