Hotel Lloyd (Milan, Italy)

The hotel serves a delicious breakfast that seems to never run out. The selection is simple but adequate. Bread, cheese, meats, and a few other basics are what you will receive, but it's not a let down.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. It's what you dream of when visiting a famous city like Milan. You are a few minutes away from the metro station that will take you just about anywhere you want to go. You are in the midst of all of Milan's top attractions and shopping.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. However, upon first appearance when entering the premises, you might not think so. Yet, it is surprising how clean and tidy the property is even though it seems a little old.

The soundproofing in the rooms is quite poor. It's easy to hear those in the room next to you chatting away.

Though the hotel décor is charming, it could do with an upgrade. It would then be spectacular! However, in a strange way the décor starts to grow on you and you begin to appreciate it. Nonetheless, some travellers describe the décor as “scary and old!”

In order to use the free Wi-Fi at the hotel, each device must have its own password. If you are with a family it can get a bit crazy as well since the plugs are limited in the rooms and the Wi-Fi is not always very reliable.
