A very good value for the money, this locale is optimally situated only five minutes' walk from the beach and ten minutes more to reach the centre of town. Plenty of on-site parking is a convenience and there's a store just adjacent for quick necessities. A fantastic hotel with a cheery bar and lots of charm.
Although a bit small for some, the rooms are comfortable with good beds, adequate amenities and excellent showers. Sufficient tea/coffee provisions are left and promptly replenished each day, while clean towels and hair dryers are available at all times.
Don't forget to set your alarm because breakfast is served early and for one hour only! Lots of fresh juices, pancakes, meats, eggs, plenty of cereals, and a grand Full English. Hot fresh coffee is superb.
Throughout the premises, you'll likely feel the decor is tired and very (accidentally) retro. Strange combinations of old items arranged oddly. However, most felt quite comfortable anyway.
It seems the price should more accurately reflect the last date of renovation. This spot is a bit pricey for what it looks like. Although clean and cosy, its crying for a refurb yesterday.
If you're unable to open a window for some reason (or even if you DO keep them open), be prepared for some stuffiness and extra heat. Televisions are minuscule. Pillows are thin and some showers are less effective than others. Bathrooms are uncomfortably small and some doors can't be opened fully because furniture blocks the way.
