Hotel Lighthouse Cabins (Old Orchard Beach, USA)

This place is competitively priced making it ideal for those travelling on a budget. It's a good deal as you'll struggle to find anywhere with a pool and free parking so close to Old Orchard Beach.

The staff at this place make a real difference to the guests that have stayed here. They say that they are extremely helpful and that they have lots of helpful tips on the area. If you have any problems, they are very quick to deal with them too.

This place is a little away from the action, but this means that it is quiet in the evenings. It's still within walking distance which makes it a great base if you want some peace and quiet during your beach holiday.

The rooms have amenities such as a stove, but it's still a little too basic for most guests. It's more like camping with walls and a roof. Not exactly what you expect from a holiday cabin by the beach. More modern amenities are required in the cabins.

The cabins are very old and could do with some work to bring them up to modern day standards. They are okay for a night or two but not really for an extended stay. This is probably why they are so cheap.

Guests have found sand in their cabins which isn't too big a deal, but when it's in your bed, then that's a problem. It seems they don't really clean the places properly between guests which means that you may find some trash and other traces of the previous guests.
