Situated in the very heart of the city, Pension Lerner is a small owner-run B&B offering simple accommodation and ecologically sensitive breakfast for those who want to be in the heart of the action. The seven rooms are all non-smoking and feature free Wi-Fi and flat screen TV's with cable stations. Some have private bathrooms, while the rest share communal bathrooms with other guests. Hairdryers are available on request. The hosts are natives of the city and can offer great advice and recommendations if required. They can also assist with tours, transfers, luggage storage, laundry and basic concierge services. Lerner takes great pride in offering a delicious breakfast using only organic products wherever possible. Those on vegetarian, gluten –free and many other special diets can also be catered for. Lerner really is in the heart of the city, with numerous cafes and other amenities in the surrounding streets. Iconic St. Peter’s Church is just 500 yards from the pension.
The overwhelming majority of guests were quite impressed with the breakfast offered at the pension. It was motioned that a variety of foods were available and that the host made a special effort to accommodate those on special diets, such as vegetarian or gluten-free.
Guests were very impressed with the location of the pension. It is right in the centre ring, close to the historic and cultural attractions that bring so many visitors to Vienna, and guests were happy that these were all within easy walking distance.
Right after describing how wonderfully central the hotel was, many guests went on to add that it was, somehow, also very quiet. The hotel itself was said to not really attract inconsiderate guests who would make a lot of noise at other's expense, and the immediate streets around the hotel did not seem to get a lot of noisy traffic either.
A number of guests reported that the room décor, while perfectly functional, was quite outdated. They believed the rooms really could do with a bit of an update to make them more contemporary.
Quite a few guests seemed to have trouble finding the pension initially. It is a small establishment and is just a small part of a much larger building. As a result, signage was said to be poor, so guests need to know the precise address in order to find it.
