It’s not often than a chain hotel offers such a nice environment to have a drink and a bite to eat, but this hotel does exactly that and does it very well. The staff are extremely welcoming and are always willing to stop and have a chat or help out the guests.

To get free parking so close to the centre of Birmingham is one of the biggest attractions of this hotel for many guests. It’s just a quick taxi ride into the city which makes it a great base for a night out or if you’re here for the football.

Considering that you are not paying over the odds, this hotel represents pretty good value. The rooms are spacious enough and the family rooms especially so for groups of four or even more.

The hotel is poorly planned, and you have to walk past the toilets to get to the hotel from the pub. There are also very few signs so it’s easy to get confused about which direction you should be heading in.

The continental on offer isn’t up to much, and there aren’t many other options. If you like a big breakfast each day, then you may have to head down to one of the local cafés for a decent full English.

The internet connection is so poor that many guests have noted that it is almost impossible to get online at all. You should make sure that your phone plan includes plenty of data as you may have to use it rather than the hotel Wi-Fi.
