The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood in the French Quarter of New Orleans, in a settled, local community. Yet it's a reasonable walk from the bars, the jazz venues and the restaurants. It's an ideal location for anyone wanting to experience a slice of genuine New Orleans life, to just walk around, visit the local patisserie and soak up the atmosphere. There is a homely, neighbourhood feel, rather than a big city feel.

The staff here is very friendly, professional and helpful, from the reception staff, to the maintenance staff and the cleaning staff. They are always ready to guide the guests in the right direction, yet are quite unobtrusive. The staff is definitely one of the hotel's greatest assets and the members try to ensure that the guests receive genuine New Orleans hospitality.

The rooms are super clean and comfortable. It has been observed that the rooms are a little compact, but some of the rooms have genuine French windows, which let in light and provide an airy, spacious feeling.

The air-conditioning system seems to break down sometimes, to the disappointment of the guests who experience this. The hotel needs to improve its air-conditioning system and maybe update it, express several reviews.

The hotel doesn't provide refrigerators in the rooms and some of the guests feel the absence of it, as it would be a great asset for keeping cold drinks ready, as things can really heat up in New Orleans.

Although the hotel offers free Wi-Fi, it has been found that the signal, in certain parts of the hotel, is unreliable. Sometimes it fluctuates and becomes weak. Guests for whom Internet connectivity is vital, this can be an inconvenience.
