Although they were in the eastern suburbs of Paris, guests nevertheless found it straightforward to reach the many delights of the city centre as they were just two minutes' walk from Noisy-Champs station for regular RER trains. Motorists enjoyed the easy access from the A4, less than one mile away, and the free parking. Many said they could easily drive to Paris's main airports. The location also proved handy for visitors to the nearby university campus. Theme park visitors loved being within easy driving distance of Disneyland Paris.
Some rooms and bathrooms were reportedly on the small side. Several critics also described frustrations with adjusting the room temperature to their liking. There were occasional reports of unpleasant smoky odours or drains smells in some rooms. Dated decor and tired-looking furniture also attracted criticism from some quarters.
Even though travellers welcomed the provision of free Wi-Fi, the speeds on offer in some areas of the hotel were said to be sluggish.
Restaurant opening hours were limited at the weekends, which disappointed some diners. However, light snacks were offered at the bar around-the-clock.
