Hotel Hermitage (Florence, Italy)

If you're visiting Florence, Hermitage's address could not be more perfect. In addition to being within walking distance to shopping, dining and most museums, the hotel's location yields to gorgeous views from its' rooftop.

Overall, guests were quite impressed with the Hermitage, adding that the level of hospitality exceeded their expectations. The staff is reported to be top notch - welcoming, enthusiastic, and eager to please.

The complimentary breakfast at Hermitage is worth getting out of bed for. It offers many fresh selections, delicious coffee and is of a good standard for a hotel breakfast. Furthermore, the breakfast is served in a beautiful dining room. In addition, the hotel features a rooftop bar area, which most guests say is ideal for drinks in the afternoon and the evening.

Though most guests didn't have a complaint, some found the rooms to be not very soundproof, and even noisy at times. However, most guests say that it's not a huge issue, and did not dramatically negatively impact their stay, as its pretty quiet at night.

The Hermitage is an older hotel and it shows. The rooms may appear vintage or shabby chic to many but some found the furnishings tired and in need of some upgrading. However, many guests still found the décor to be charming and said that it only added to the Florence experience.

Keep in mind that there is no lift from the ground level to the lobby, and there is a long and steep stairway. If you need help with your luggage, there is an intercom near the entrance where you can call the front desk and someone will assist you right away.
