The Days Inn Gatlinburg On The River is in a location which has the dual advantage of being in a scenic as well as a prime area. It is by the river and right off routes 321 and 441. Guests can enjoy relaxing river views or walks by the river. They can plan a quick day trip to the popular Great Smoky Mountains National Park as it is a mere six minute drive from the hotel. Places like Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, the Guinness World Records Museum and Mountain Mall can be covered on foot. Several restaurants are also in the vicinity of the hotel.

The 99 rooms spread over four floors and are equipped with satellite TVs, microwave, refrigerators and coffeemakers. Rooms have balconies with pleasant river views. Bathrooms are en suite with shower and tub combination and free toiletries. Some rooms have fireplaces and some have spa tubs. Children aged 17 and under can stay free of charge with adults.

The hotel ensures that guests have plenty of opportunities to spend time in water with an outdoor pool, kids' pool and a spa tub. A lobby with TV and fireplace where guests can relax with a cup of coffee or tea served is present. Guests can avail of the coin operated laundry facilities. A business center with meeting room and fax and copy services is present.

Guests have found mold and cockroaches in the room. The TV units are old and not even flat screen.

The bathrooms are found to be cramped by guests with a drop down ceiling which does not seem to fit in places and has mold on the edges.

Guests have issues with the cramped parking area, spotty Wi-Fi speed and poor breakfast, which is only packaged food.
