Hotel du Petit Moulin (Paris, France)

Hôtel du Petit Moulin is located in the Marais area of Paris, not far from the Picasso and Carnavalet museums and the Place des Vosges . It belongs to the Romantik Hotels group and the Châteaux et Hôtels collection. Once a bakery, the XVIIth century building has been renovated, but the original 1900 shop front and sign have been kept. Couturier Christian Lacroix, who designed the interior, has married XVIIIth century furniture with contemporary art, whilst striving to respect the parts of the building that are listed with the "Monuments Historiques". Each of the 17 rooms is individually decorated and attempts to recreate different aspects of the Marais area. They are classified along 4 categories, comfort, superior, executive and deluxe. Among the equipments available, guests will find LCD flat screen televisions. The reception, once the shop front of the bakery, welcomes clients in English, Italian and Spanish. The bar is furnished in a mixture of styles and its walls are decorated to resemble a scrapbook. Breakfast is served there from 7 am to 10.30 am although guests can elect to have it served in their room.
