Situated in an ideal spot right on Menchia Beach, Hotel Dreams Beach Hotel offers guests leisure amenities and Mediterranean views at reasonable prices. Rooms are simply furnished, with tiled floors, and beautiful decorative tiled headboards. They feature private bathrooms, TV’s and private balconies. Some have incredible sea views going on forever. There is a wellness area with gym and hammam, where beauty and therapeutic treatments are also available. There is also a lovely pool terrace, ideal for a quick refreshing dip. Restaurant Bar Plage is right on the edge of the sea sand, and offers casual cuisine and cocktails in an unbeatable setting. The main attraction is the beach right out front, though the impressive walls of the Kasbah of Sousse are also definitely worth a visit. They are 2.8 miles away.
Dreams Beach does not get many good reviews, but few guests argue that it isn't in a good location, beach wise. Guests loved being almost literally right on the sand, since they could just stroll to the waters edge and soak up the atmosphere.
Although the buffet food at breakfast is not highly rated, the beach bar and restaurant did get some praise for both its food, which was sometimes described as tasty and good value, and the outlook, which being right on the sand was terrific.
While the hotels disadvantages didn't usually make up for it, some guests did mention that the room rate was very low, so that guests who will be sending most of their time touring, may simply be able to use it as an ultra cheap base.
This was quite a big issue for a number of guests. Whatever the stated presence ff air conditioning was, many saw and felt no sign of it, either in the public areas, or in the rooms. For some this resulted in unbearably hot conditions.
Aside from the air conditioning, guests mentioned multiple things that were wrong with their rooms. Broken towel railings, malfunctioning showers and many, many more. Perhaps some rooms are more affected than others, but guests who got rooms with multiple maintenance issues certainly weren't very happy.
Guests speak of very limited breakfasts, with all the food gone soon after opening time, with perhaps some rolls remaining for the late risers.
