A taste of real Morocco.
There are just six rooms here; all are very attractively decorated and two have doors leading to the gardens and pool. The in-house menu features a different Moroccan dish every night. Breakfast is fantastic.
The five star Dar Kantzaro sits in over two acres of olive groves. There are six desirable rooms offering an oasis of peace and quiet in an area that is also close to the attractions of Marrakech. En-suite rooms are individually decorated and authentically themed. Modern conveniences include flat-screen TV with satellite channels, air conditioning and complimentary bottled water and toiletries. Bedlinen is of a high quality. Facilities at Dar Kantzaro include an outdoor pool, in-room massage, free parking, laundry and a limo town and airport optional shuttle service. There is also a concierge service and free Wi-Fi in the public areas. Breakfast is also free and there are menus available for later dining. It’s a short drive to a number of eateries. These include the Pepe Nero, Dar Zellij and Al-Fassia restaurants. The property faces the Atlas Mountains and is a 30-minute car journey from the centre of Marrakech.

From here, you can opt for a trip to the busy streets of Marrakech or to the Atlas Mountains and camel riding. The odds are that, at some point, you'll need a taxi. The tip is to use the one recommended by the hotel. They know the place inside out and won't overcharge you.
On arrival, you are given a guided tour of the hotel and it is, indeed, impressive. It's the staff though who make the stay so memorable. They are attentive and kind, without being obtrusive. Because the place is so small, it has been known for one room's small celebration to expand and embrace everyone else, including the staff. It's that sort of place.
There's not a lot to do or see here so, if tiring of endless peace and quiet in idyllic surroundings, it's quite a costly taxi fare to get you into Marrakech. Transport costs mount up so, if you need access to attractions and nightlife, a hotel nearer the city is a preferable solution.
Maybe you don't want to trek into Marrakech or to a restaurant alternatives along the road. In which case, the in-house menu is the only choice you've got. The menu itself is very limited and considerably over-priced when compared with what you can get in the city.
It's a bit of a surprise that, in view of the 5-star rating, poolside towels are not changed and go unlaundered for days!
