Situated in Milan’s Nivigli neighbourhood, the D’Este is a modern hotel about 1.5 miles from Milan’s centre. The 82 rooms are stylishly modern, and feature flat screen TV’s with Sky channels. Also included are minibar, in-room safe for your valuables and in-room Wi-Fi. The hotel is popular with business people and has two meeting rooms for groups of between 30 and 90 people. Limited parking is available on-site. Breakfast is served in the sleek breakfast room, and there is also a piano bar ideal for a drink at the end of a long day. The Duomo and the Vittoria Emanuele II Centre are both about 1.5 miles from D’Este, while Milan’s main exhibition centre is 30 minutes away by car. It is also ideal for guests attending events at Bocconi University, which is just across the road.
Though not all that close to Milan's main attractions, about 25 minutes' away on foot, there is a tram stop very nearby and this can be used, together with the metro, to get into the centre relatively quickly. Business people seemed to be satisfied with this, tourists somewhat less so.

Considering the D'Este Hotel is very popular with business travellers Wi-Fi is perhaps a bit more important than usual. Guests were happy to report that the Wi-Fi was both consistently available and fast, so they never need to worry about not being able to send that important email.
Though not all rooms are of this style, guests staying in the narrow rooms did not really seem to care for the layout, describing it as odd. They would have been more comfortable in a room with a conventional shape.
The hotel does indeed tout itself as ideal for business people, rather than tourists, and guests tend to agree. Sightseers felt that they would have been happier with a more central hotel.
Even guests who didn't have any major issues with the hotel where not entirely convinced they got a good deal. Many feel the price-quality ratio is worse than they are used to.
