The city centre is approximately ten minutes away from the hotel via car or public transport.

Whilst it was generally seen as part of the hotel's style, numerous former guests felt that the rooms were dated and showing minor signs of wear. Furthermore, some rooms were also labelled as small in terms of size.

With nothing in the way of recreational spaces such as a bar or lounge area, the Culane Guest House Hotel is very much no-thrills in terms of public amenities - something that was understandably highlighted as a negative aspect of the hotel by previous visitors.
