The hotel is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of St Ives yet still within walking distance of many of the local attractions and amenities. Guests enjoyed the picture-postcard views of the coast from their rooms and the hotels garden and found it very convenient being only a short stroll away from the beach.
The hotel boasts an outdoor heated pool which proved very popular with many of the guests particularly during the warmer summer months. The gardens also feature a putting green and there are plenty of tables and chairs for those who are just looking to relax and admire the surrounding views.
Guests complimented the staff on their friendly and courteous manner stating that they felt welcome and well-looked after. Reception personnel offered helpful tips and advice with regards to the local area whilst the waiting staff were said to be polite and attentive.
The water pressure was said to be very low as quite a few guests said that they found showering extremely cumbersome as due to the fact that water was coming out as a trickle. The pressure was said to be the weakest in the top floor rooms.
Guests said that they could often hear footsteps and creaking floorboards from the rooms above them due to the poor soundproofing. If you are a light sleeper it's advisable to ask for a room at the top of the building.
Not all the rooms have coastal views as some guests were disappointed to find that their rooms looked out onto an adjoining wall. If you are keen on having a scenic view it's advisable to mention it to the staff prior to booking.
