Penzance railway station is situated on Wharf Road, Penzance, Cornwall, beside the harbour. It is the most southerly and most westerly station in England. Its car park is open 24 hours a day, there is a taxi rank, and the bus depot is adjacent to the station. Cycle storage is available on the premises. The station is operated by First Great Western and is manned from 6am to 10pm every day except Sunday, when staff are present from 8.30am to 10.15pm. Services from Penzance run to London Paddington and Plymouth, and there are also cross country services to Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Penzance is the terminus, but there is also a branch line that runs along the coast to St Ives via St Erst. The ticket office is open from 8.05am to 8.10pm on weekdays, from 6.15am to 6.10pm on Saturdays, and from 8.45am to 5.30pm on Sundays. There is also a ticket machine. The station has an information office, a waiting room, a cafeteria, a pay phone and public conveniences, including a disabled toilet. Trolleys are also available. The station is free of steps, and there is a ramp for wheelchair access to trains.
