The Chelsea Lodge is a small “European-style” hotel located on West 20th Street at 8th Avenue in Manhattan’s Chelsea district. It offers easy access to Penn Station (12 blocks), the Port Authority (22 blocks), subway terminals, and bus routes. Greenwich Village, Union Square, Grand Central Station, and the Empire State Building are all within a few blocks’ walking distance -as are a variety of restaurants, nightclubs, shops, and galleries. The Lodge is housed in a renovated landmark brownstone on a tree-lined street. Décor is country Americana throughout. Each of the twenty-two no-frills guestrooms has a double bed, television, sink, shower, ceiling fan, and an AC or heater as the season requires. Maximum occupancy per room is two guests. Each of the four suites has a queen bed, sleeper sofa, marble bath, kitchenette, television and VCR and cable, data port, and air conditioning. Maximum occupancy per suite is four quests. The two garden suites share a private garden. Maid service is provided for all units.
