Blue Lagoon Resortat Trinity Beach just north of Cairns city centre is ideally located for an family beach holiday in tropical North Queensland. Self-contained Studio, One, Two and Three bedroom apartments feature a flat-screen TV, fully equipped kitchen including microwave, separate living and dining areas and private balcony. After a game or two of tennis, or a work out at the on-site fitness centre guests can take a swim in one of the three outdoor swimming pools or relax in the spa. The apartment is self-catering and there are a number of supermarkets at the nearby Trinity Beach shopping complex. For guests wanting to venture out the are a number of restaurants on the Cairns Esplanade a short drive away. The Cairns International Airport is a 20 minute drive from the hotel and the Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda experience and the Daintree are all within a day trip of the apartment. Trinity Beach is also just two minutes walk away.

The pool overlooks the lagoon and it is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Parents travelling with children commented on how safe and clean the pool area was. Other guests made special mention of how well kept the gardens were throughout the entire property.

The tropics are notorious for its humidity and if places are not ventilated or aired properly smells can quickly set in. Some previous guests encountered mouldy and musty smells coming from their room and they wrote about their dissatisfaction about this in their reviews.
