DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Fort Lee George Washington Bridge (Fort Lee, USA)

If you want to visit Manhattan but prefer not to stay there, then this hotel is in an ideal location. You can ride the subway to see all the sights but then head back to the much quieter surroundings of the hotel. It's also much cheaper than hotels in the city.

For first time visitors to the area, the staff at this hotel are perfect. They are extremely friendly and have plenty of useful information about the local area and Manhattan too. They will literally bend over backwards to help you out.

The first meal of the day is cooked to perfection at this hotel and even though it's a paid meal, it's well worth the money. There are plenty of options, and all are delicious and fresh. An ideal way to kick off a day of sightseeing.

This is a nice hotel with pleasant staff but the entire building is very old and could do with a complete makeover. Chipped furniture and old carpets give the hotel a rather shabby look. It's still an okay place to stay but don't expect Hilton standards.

There have been a few complaints about maintenance problems in this hotel with some guests finding that their AC units didn't work correctly. There are also phones that don't work and coffee makers that are a bit past their sell-by date.

The hotel is somewhat out of the way and as such there's not much of interest around it. You'll find no amazing little restaurants or quaint bars within walking distance so be prepared to use that shuttle service.
