Dalkeith Hotel (Dalkeith, United Kingdom)

Rooms are clean and spacious. Many guests felt that the rooms were very cosy and were equipped with all the basic amenities required for a comfortable stay. Beds were fairly comfortable. The view of the St. Nicholas Church and the Pentland hills is captivating as per some guests. The antique furniture in many rooms gave a classy look to the rooms.

Most of the guests loved the warm and eager gesture of each and every member of the staff. They were very helpful and considered one of the best assets of the hotel. The information shared by them about local places of interest was much appreciated by the guests.

The hotel is centrally located and is a short bus trip to Edinburgh. There are many pubs and good places to eat close by. The Royal Commonwealth pool and Butterfly & Insect World are within a few miles away from the hotel. Kids had a good time at the Edinburgh Zoo.

The hotel does not provide onsite parking. Guests had to park their cars on a street with few empty spaces left in between. It turned out to be quite inconvenient to park the cars, especially at night.

In spite of the fact that free Wi-Fi is advertised, the Internet connection was almost non-existent. Erratic Wi-Fi connection kept disconnecting making it impossible to stay online for more than a few seconds.

There was a lot of noise coming from the club next door. The windows and walls are not suitably soundproofed failing to cut off the noise from the roads.
