The pool area is one of those places you could easily spend the entire day. Families with kids particularly loved this part of the hotel due to the warm temperature of the water, and the toddler-friendly facilities. It's sociable, and you can even arrange to order a snack and beverage.

If you fancy a whole lot of shopping for your vacation, then this hotel's location will be pretty good. You will have easy access to Texas Tech, where there are many unique stores in the same vicinity, and as for restaurants, guests love the mixture of cuisine on offer too.

Most travellers were very impressed with the top class hospitality that the staff at this hotel displayed. If you ask for hot water to make some tea, you will probably get the tea made especially for you. If you need directions, the front desk are experts.

Guests felt the entire property, including the rooms, were pretty drab as far as decor goes, and the public areas looked a little long in the tooth. The fixtures and fittings have seen better days, and it was suggested the hotel deserves a facelift.

Among the list of complaints from guests were air-conditioning units in disrepair, plug covers missing, and loose guttering on the outside, however by the end of the stay, the economically priced rooms minimised the complaints a little.

During the busy weekend nights guests who were not out socialising were a little disturbed by the heavy foot traffic in the hotel. Groups of guests gathered in the atrium until late at night, and were a bit on the loud side for those who preferred to sleep.
