Chelsea House Pool & Gardens Hotel (Key West, USA)

Guests appreciated the homely and laid-back atmosphere of the hotel and also liked having numerous places where they could relax and unwind. Many enjoyed sitting on the porch with their morning coffee whilst admiring the views whilst others spent their free time on the pool- side loungers soaking up the rays.

The hotel is set within its own private gardens thus ensuring a quiet and picturesque backdrop. Guests appreciated being away from all the hustle and bustle yet still being able to reach many of the attractions and amenities on foot.

The guests were very complimentary about the front-desk staff describing them as friendly and always willing to help. Many appreciated the way the staff handled their requests and also how they gave them helpful tips and advice about the local area.

Cockroaches and ants were found in some of the rooms much to the disappointment of some of the guests. Maintenance staff sprayed insecticide however the guests said that the bugs in the rooms prevented them from fully enjoying their stay.

There is no lift on the premises due to the age of the building and some guests found it tiring climbing up several flights of stairs every day in order to get to their accommodation. If you have mobility issues, it's advisable to ask for a ground-floor room.

Some of the guests objected to the size of their rooms describing them as too small and cramped. Sloping ceilings in some of the rooms made the accommodation appear even smaller and guests said that they did not have enough storage space and that the bathrooms were also quite small.
