You'll find your room to be spacious and warm with all the basics you'll need for a good stay. The beds are comfortable too, as are the pillows.

Channings is excellently positioned. It is close to many attractions, including the zoo, the Hippodrome, the suspension bridge and a host of shops. Also, there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel, which gets you into the centre of the city in ten min

You'll get a really cheerful welcome from the staff here, and they will remain attentive and helpful throughout the duration of your stay. They will help you with any requests you might have, and will happily give you lots of local knowledge.

Channings doesn't have a car park and Bristol is notoriously difficult when it comes to street parking, so you might have a miserable time trying to work out where to leave your car. Finding a space on the street can be incredibly time-consuming.

Considering the price you pay for it, the hotel's breakfast doesn't represent the best value for money. It's pretty average, so the fact that it doesn't come cheap is rather perturbing.

There is no lift in this old building, so if you are on one of the upper floors, then prepare to have to carry all of your luggage up plenty of stairs.
