With its original architecture, high ceilings and historic features intact, this restored Bed & Breakfast locale is as cozy as NOLA can get. Just a twenty-minute stroll to the French Quarter, the Burgundy is within easy reach of the jazz clubs on Frenchmen Street, plenty of twenty-four hour entertainment spots and other attractions of the city. If you don't feel like walking, the owner stores several bikes for guests to use as well. Very clean and impeccably maintained, the house is located in a comfortable, quiet neighborhood set back from the bustle of traffic noise and tourists. There is a full porch, indoor parlor and outdoor patio attached for sitting in the evening with a bubbling hot tub adjacent. The kitchen is offered for guests to use the refrigerator, microwave and toaster as desired. Breakfast is served daily on-site and usually includes continental options, fresh orange juice and pastries.

Choose from several color-themed rooms with varying sizes and amenities to suit your needs. Each offer unique decor and features, beautifully arranged with sumptuous bedding, excellent air conditioning and ample space, some even opening directly onto courtyard.

The owner is a true delight to all, as are his staff appointed in his infrequent absence. He'll give you plenty of information about the area as a New Orleans native himself. His friendly morning demeanor while presenting breakfast will set you up for the perfect day!

Some felt the breakfast should be more substantial than the usual continental items provided.

As can be expected, older buildings have thinner walls, allowing some sounds to be overheard between rooms.

The water pressure can be quite low compared to newer establishments; however, it still works adequately for most.
