Wayne Gretzky Estates - Winery (Vineland, Canada)

The Wayne Gretzky Estates winery in Vineland is an enterprise owned by Wayne Gretzky, who is more generally known for his skills in the hockey rink. The tasting room is decorated with Gretzky memorabilia and provides visitors an opportunity to sample the winery’s offerings. During summer weekends, the winery also offers a luncheon menu served at tables set up on a covered patio. Activities at the winery include The Great Stomp, an annual event held in conjunction with the Niagara Wine Festival and featuring teams of grape stompers. Teams wishing to participate must preregister for the event, and proceeds are donated. Tasting room hours during the summer months are 10 am to 6 pm (11 am to 6 pm on Sundays and holidays). Winter hours are 10 am to 5 pm (11 am to 5 pm on Sundays and holidays). Admission and tasting are usually free.
