Taman Safari Indonesia (Bogor, Indonesia)

Taman Safari is a large safari park, spread over 160 hectares, located about an hour and a half from Jakarta. Visitors can drive through in their own vehicle, or hire one, and see over 50 different species of animal including rare and endangered species such as Sumatran tigers, Chinese bears and white tigers. Many of the animals such as antelopes or buffalo are wandering freely along the roads, while others such as lions and tigers have their own secure compounds. Night safaris are offered at weekends and there is a walking tour also available, as well as elephant rides and the chance to have photos taken with some of the animals. A number of free educational and entertaining shows are staged at various times during the day. There is an amusement park on site as well with lots of mechanical rides. The park is open daily.
