Want to see some amazing marine wildlife up close and enjoy the best beaches in Perth? Penguin Island is just a 5 minute ferry ride across the beautiful Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. Its home to WA’s largest population of little penguins and you can see them at the Discovery Centre where rangers host daily feeds at 10.30am, 12.30 and 2.30pm. Rockingham Wild Encounters operates ferries hourly (or more often in peak season) from 9am to 3pm. They’re is also cruises to see more of the marine park and get up close to the wildlife. For something really special try the dolphin swim cruise that has a better than 99% success rate and if you’re one of the unlucky 1% not to swim you get to rebook again free of charge!
