Old Bergen (Bergen, Norway)

Old Bergen is located 4 kilometers north of the city centre and is accessible by bus. It is an open-air museum which offers the opportunity to discover 18th and 19th century Bergen. Featuring around 50 authentic wooden houses, the town has been reconstructed to give an idea of what life used to be like at the time. The various buildings (workshops, shops, private houses) all contain every-day objects, utensils as well as furniture. Walking around the streets, paths and gardens is free, but most of the houses can only be visited on a guided tour. These take place on the hour from 10am to 4pm, from mid-May to mid-September and last approximately 45 minutes. Tour prices: Adults NOK 50 Students NOK 25 Children free
