Cala San Pedro (Las Negras, Spain)

San Pedro is a valley which is accessible only by a narrow path from Las Negras, or by boat. It takes approximately 1 hour to walk there from Las Negras. Ruins of a Castle and a few houses remind of Andalucia’s past, and their invasion by the Arabs. San Pedro is situated in the Natural park of Cabo de Gata, and although a few houses have been recently restored and are lived in, the majority of people here are travellers from around the world, in search of a retreat from civilization. There are natural caves, which the travellers sleep in, and there is in the depths of the valley, a clay cave from which a water source flows. There are 3 natural water sources in the valley. The beautiful beach of San Pedro, called Cala de Plomo, is of thin white sand, and stretches over approximately half a kilometre. Due to its limited access, very few people know or go to San Pedro. .
