Altstadt Goslar (Goslar, Germany)

The former free Imperial Town of Goslar is home to a medieval city centre that features around 1,500 half-timbered houses that date back to the 15th -19th century. There is not only the former imperial palace to be seen, but also 47 churches, chapels and monasteries as Goslar was not only the seat of the government then but also the religious centre.
