West Lodge Aston Clinton owners and staff are warm and very friendly, making everyone feel right at home. The owners have resided in the area for many years and can share interesting history and information about the property and surrounding area. The small compliment of staff attend to all matters with efficiency and are always friendly and pleasant.

The combination of wood furnishings and rustic décor help to create a charming country atmosphere that is very warm, cosy and inviting. Rooms are thoroughly clean and the staff do an excellent job of ensuring that the entire space including en-suite is well-maintained.

The private gardens surrounding the property are quite mature with plenty of places to sit quietly and enjoy the sounds and smells of nature. The gardens are a highlight of the stay and the lodge also offer them for private functions.

A small issue with the en-suite shower water pressure being quite low may be an issue for those who prefer a much more robust shower experience. The area is fairly old and this may account for the issue.

While the lodge does feature a fully licenced restaurant on the premises it does not specifically offer evening meals. Generally the policy is a request-only and an additional charge would be added. For the most part, guests requiring dinner are directed to the Bell Restaurant across the road.

The quality of the Wi-Fi signal in the rooms leaves a lot to be desired and is not ideal for business use or serious web surfing. The signal in the main part of the house, lounge and reception areas is much stronger and a better option.
