Villa Del Sol Hotel (Ciudad Juarez, Mexico)

Villa Del Sol Hotel now offers freshly renovated rooms with updated décor and furnishings. Rooms are clean and fresh with plenty of space and a useful range of room amenities. Bathrooms are also very clean and well-maintained.

The buffet breakfast that is on offer each morning in the quaint locally-inspired restaurant is of the highest quality and the variety is astounding. Most options are very healthy, compared with most of the processed fare offered at other hotels. Best of all, the breakfast buffet is free, hot and different every day.

Hotel staff at Villa Del Sol are all very polite and approachable. While most unfortunately only offer limited English, they are nevertheless very happy and display a positive ‘can-do' attitude with guests. However, front desk staff are well-spoken and can also arrange free shuttles to local destinations.

The hotel is currently undergoing ongoing renovations and while most of the guest rooms are already complete, the renovation work could prove to be disruptive, particularly to business visitors or those recovering from medical procedures in this medical/dental tourism destination.

The free Wi-Fi performance throughout the hotel leaves a lot to be desired, particularly in rooms. The signal is extremely slow and signing on or loading pages can take a very long time. The service is therefore not ideal for business travelers.

While rooms do offer air conditioning, private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and television, some would find that the lack of a fridge, microwave or coffeemaker to be somewhat inconvenient.
