Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel (Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe)

While it's not next to Victoria Falls, the hotel is close enough to this iconic landmark for guests to easily walk or drive over. It is also close to the various shops, bars, restaurants, and activities available in town. This is a very safe area in Zimbabwe.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi service for guests, and many of them commented on the fact that good Wi-Fi can be difficult to come by at many other Zimbabwe hotels. They also appreciated the fact that conference and meeting rooms at the hotel have computer hookup points available, as do each of the guest rooms.

The hotel has some of the most exquisite gardens and grounds in the area. Guests enjoy walking through the gardens and take in the scenery in the surrounding area, not just the falls themselves.

Many guests commented on how rundown the outside of the hotel looks. Inside it is said to be clean, but furniture is outdated. Several guests have had bad experiences with air conditioning problems, broken safes, and bathroom plumbing issues. The most common complaint is the lack of clean, fresh towels. Towels tend to have holes in them and appear to be threadbare.

Although the staff is always friendly and smiling, they are not quick to address guest concerns. Several guests reported that it took many attempts to get towels, coffee and tea, or other amenities that were supposed to be provided.

Proximity to Victoria Falls makes it a popular hotel and a busy area. Therefore, it is not a very quiet place to stay. Expect some noise and congestion.
