The Savoy Hotel On Little Collins Melbourne (Melbourne, Australia)

Guests absolutely loved the location of the hotel. It is close to the airport and just across the street the Southern Cross train and bus station. It is the best location if you're getting around without a car. It is also close to all the hotspot neighborhoods of Melbourne, including Collins Street and South Bank. Etihad Stadium, Melbourne Aquarium and the Convention Center can all be reached on foot, within 0.3 miles of the hotel.

Even though the hotel is located next to the train station, you will be pleasantly surprised with the quiet nights. Guests reported there was no noise heard from neighboring rooms or the outside during their stay.

The onsite restaurant, Curve, served a large selection of traditional Australian dishes. Guests loved the breakfast specially, saying there was a good selection of foods served in good portions. The staff and bartenders at both dining and bar facilities are very friendly and add to the experience.

The number one complaint at this hotel is the Wi-Fi. It is very limited and very slow. It is free for the first 24 hours. however, even after opting for the paid option, there was no improvement in neither the signal nor speed. The TV channels too, are very limited, and are not what is advertised.

The hotel appears to be in decent condition, however, it is already showing its age. Mainly, there have been several complains about plumbing issues. The water temperature is inconsistent and the water pressure is poor. The decor, too, needs an upgrade. Fortunately, the hotel has already started renovations.

There are many complaints about the housekeeping at the hotel. One time use items, coffee and toiletries are often not replaced daily. The housekeeping is also hard to reach, as their phone line is often busy.
