A number of guests comment on the stunning views across the Welsh landscape, including Snowdonia. Guests comment that some rooms do not have views, but that views from the lounge area make up for this.

A number of reviews mention that certain areas of the hotel are very much in need of renovation. Guests report tired and threadbare carpets and walls in need of a paint job. Recent reviews do indicate that renovations are being carried out continually.

The hotel reportedly has old sash windows in the bedrooms, which seem to rattle on windy nights, causing a great deal of noise. Seagulls also seem to disturb guests in the early hours of the morning, and a number of guests comment on noise from the pipes

A few guests complain that showers are almost impossible to use, with temperature control very difficult to manage. Shower pressure is also apparently weak.
