The owners of the hotel went out of their way to help the guests, giving an impression that they loved running the place. They gave the guests a lot of tips and suggestions on places to visit and eat. The staff members were very thoughtful and helped the guests with their luggage till the top storey. Guests loved the fact that they were made to feel welcome from the very first moment.
The full Scottish breakfast served here is very hearty and delicious. It includes oatcakes, ham, tea/coffee, scrambled eggs, cereals, fresh fruits and much more. They also had a good selection of vegetarian food. Food was made to order so it was absolutely fresh and very tasty.
Rooms are very spacious and extremely comfortable. They provided beautiful views of the West Bay where the guests could see boats and ferries. Guests loved their stay in the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of the hotel. Rooms have a black and white theme with an oriental feel to them.
The pressure of the water in the shower was very slow and many guests had a lot difficulty taking a shower. They would have also preferred a cleaner shower.
The beds are very hard and pillows are very thin, which made it very difficult for the guests to have sound sleep.
The Wi-Fi connection was very erratic and made it difficult for guests to work online. Many guests could also smell smoke in the rooms that were supposed to be non-smoking.
