The ambiance at the hotel is upbeat and positive mostly due to the friendly and always smiling staff who make guests feel right at home. Staff go above and beyond to ensure guests are looked after, they provide a quick and easy check-in, they are knowledgeable about the area and they deal with any issues that arise right away.

Guests reported that many attractions, restaurants and shops are located nearby and it's very easy to get around the area but one doesn't really need to leave the resort as there is so much to do there. The grounds are well-maintained and relaxing, the swimming pool is clean and warm, the fitness center is modern and well-equipped and the spa offers a wide range of services. .

It can get noisy around Rimrock Resort at times. Voices can be heard through the walls that don't seem to be very soundproof, there is a lot of loud sounds coming from the boiler room and the heating system and pipes are loud.

Guests reported that the spa was an uncomfortable experience. Massages are administered in an unused guest rooms instead of a rooms designated for the purpose, the rooms are too cold, the lighting was too bright and there was a lack of atmosphere that would be expected in a spa.

The guest rooms are very small with little room to move about and store personal items. Guests also reported that the decor is very dated, there is a lot of dust in the rooms, there seems to be water damage in the bathroom and the heating and cooling systems don't work properly. .
