The hotel is very well priced, given its attractive facilities and location close to numerous attractions and places of interest. Also, restaurants such as Cracker Barrel are within easy walking distance. The Waffle House is also very walkable.

What a great and friendly welcome from the front desk staff. They are so personable that you almost don’t notice that the lobby is impressively large, attractive and sparkling clean. The visit has certainly got off to a flying start.

Following a thrilling welcome, things continue to impress here. The room itself is large, clean and comfortable. It contains all the essentials … plus masses of towels and a microwave and refrigerator.

Corridors look a bit neglected and would benefit from a coat of paint and the elevator is worrying and look ancient. Hopefully, these areas are high on the hotel’s ‘To Do’ list.

Cleaning standards vary quite a lot and if unlucky with your choice of room, the bathroom may be dirty, old crumbs in the bed … that sort of thing. If the room is to the rear of the building, there is no access at that point. It’s a constant long corridor hike to the room. Best not to take too much notice, en-route, of the shady characters hanging around!

They’ve got a pool but they are reluctant to provide towels. Someone says yes, another say no, you can't have any. You have to virtually force their hand to provide this necessity. This may simply require some additional clarity from management and further training.
