Nordic Village Resort is in a lovely position. It is nestled deep within the White Mountains but there is still plenty to see and do in the area. You can walk along the many trails and will also find yourself close to plenty of restaurants and shops.
The accommodation at this resort is spacious and the surroundings are very relaxing and peaceful. The property offers a fantastic vista of the mountains and the ambience is great.
The indoor and outdoor pools are good places to spend some time if you don't feel like venturing out. It is refreshing to take a dip.
Nordic Village Resort could really use a refurbishment. Some of the public areas and hallways feel quite tired and worn, as do the guestrooms. The carpets are old and the paint is peeling. Some of the fireplaces and heaters don't work and the air-conditioning units are pretty ineffective. The pullout beds are past their best as well and the bathrooms feel rather old. Some love and attention would do the world of good.
While the area is generally pretty quiet, if people in the unit above you are walking around, you will probably hear it. This can get annoying pretty quickly, especially late at night.
The staff here are sometimes lacking in customer service skills. Their manner isn't always the most welcoming and you might feel like any request you make or question you may have is an annoyance to them.
