Motel Le Point de Vue (La Malbaie, Canada)

This was one of the first things many guests remarked on in their reviews. It seems the motel is in a commanding position, and guests really appreciated having the panoramic views over the St. Lawrence.

It was impossible to find a harsh word written about the housekeeping staff. On the contrary, many guests commended them for doing an excellent job keeping both the rooms and public areas of the motel spotlessly clean.

Guests were very impressed with the hotel's staff, especially those on reception. They were said to be very friendly and always more than willing to help out guests by providing excellent local advice and recommendations.

A number of guests found the environment to be a bit noisy. It was claimed that the rooms were not well soundproofed, resulting in guests being able to hear even regular sounds from adjacent rooms. Those in rooms facing the main road also said that they could clearly hear the sound of cars and trucks passing by.

A couple of problems seemed to come up with regard to the breakfast. Firstly, many guests were disappointed that it was not included in the room rate, as they were perhaps expecting it to be. Secondly, a number of guests found the breakfast itself too simple for their needs. They would have liked more variety, especially with respect to meat/protein foods.

A remarkable number of guests complained that actually getting their TV to work properly required some sort if esoteric insider knowledge. The system seemed unnecessarily complicated to them.
