The location is actually quite nice. The hotel is near the tube and to a few decent pubs and restaurants. There are also a number of fast food places. It's close to everything but not in the heart of it, which makes the place more pleasant.

The staff are a friendly bunch and are good for a chat.

The hotel is reasonably clean. They work with what they have to make the accommodation as tidy as possible, and it works.

There's no elevator, so if you are carrying heavy luggage you'd better be in good shape. There's no concierge service either.

Basically, the hotel needs an upgrade, refurbishing, renovated, whichever term you prefer to use. There have been instances where visitors have sat on chairs that broke, dust everywhere, mould in the shower, old mattress, the whole lot needs an uplift. It's just basic and tired. Oh, and the plumbing needs an upgrade as well. Toilets that are hard to flush, poor water pressure, and faucets that don't turn off gives you a good ideal of what you may be in for.

Breakfast is nothing to write home about. Several cereals, a plate of over processes salami and ham, a lousy cheese stick, bread that is probably at least one or two days old, is pretty much what you get. If your tummy is growling for a good meal, you'd better go somewhere else or your tummy is going to be very upset!
