Housed in the former American National Bank building, everything supplied by the hotel has a certain quality. Breakfast is really good, rooms are comfortable, clean and well furnished; the staff are great and even the free shuttle drivers are pleasant and informative.
On many occasions, breakfast can be a huge disappointment and a perfunctory nod in the direction of 'catering' to qualify for the establishment's 'hotel' classification. Here, though, breakfast is impressive with lots of choices of both hot and cold dishes.
This hotel is very welcoming with well decorated, comfortably furnished rooms. A major feature is the location near to sporting venues and a trip to a Rockies game just wouldn't be the same without taking the return journey by bicycle taxi.
Harry's Bar can be a bit noisy on occasions and they have got a very selective policy when it comes to reserving tables. Apparently 'you' can't reserve a table, but selected people can! Also noisy are bedroom fans, resulting in the TV volume being increased to combat it .. creating an overall increase in noise problems. Sound insulation between rooms isn't great!
Many are clean and well decorated, but Spartan and not in keeping with the 'boutique' self description. There's only one rubbish bin, no drinking glasses, cheap, one ply toilet paper.. that sort of thing.
Maybe some rooms are up for revamping but at present , bathrooms given the impression of being grubby and kitchen areas are extremely dated. If you finish up in one of these rooms, prepare for disappointment.
