Situated just a short walk from the beach, LK Renaissance Hotel Hotel offers elegant accommodation and rich décor to guests looking for a bit of class for their Pattaya trip. The rooms are very elegantly furnished and are decorated with rich Thai fabrics. Each features private balcony, jacuzzi bath, air conditioning, minibar, tea/coffee station, flat screen TV, in-room safe, free Wi-Fi, work desk and telephone. The elegant lobby is a great place to meet up with friends, or just relax. There is a small pool terrace for those looking to catch some rays, and a wellness area with gym, sauna and jacuzzi. An American breakfast buffet is served daily at a sister property, and its restaurant serves Thai and international favourites the rest of the day. The beach is about 700 yards from the hotel, while infamous Walking Street is about a mile. Pataya Airport is approximately 24 miles to the south.
While not right on the beach, this did not seem to bother many guests. It is only a few minutes away on foot, and guests never felt that it was a big mission to get there or back. Pattaya's famous Walking Street was further, but still within walking distance.
It seems all the hotel's rooms have these, and guests found them to be a welcome little luxury they were not used to in most hotel rooms. They certainly seemed to help to remove a little of the stresses and strains of the day.
The hotel does not have many public amenities, but it does have a pool that was clearly a hit with the guests. They seemed to be happy to be able to perfect their tan in one of the sun loungers, or take a refreshing dip after a long hot day in the sun.
While the staff did also receive compliments, there were a disconcerting number of complaints as well. Some say that the staff can be disinterested, or even worse, actively rude to guests. Naturally, they were not at all happy with this attitude.
A few guests in front facing rooms mentioned that there was a nightclub right across the road that stayed open until the early morning. The music could be heard in the rooms and did cause some problems for the light sleepers.
Several guests expressed their unhappiness with their shower. They regarded it as too small, and not having enough water pressure to really shower properly.
